Like the original games , in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl you take on 8 gyms during the report , each specialising in a particular eccentric . The gymnasium leaders and their Pokémon are the same , although some have updated moves ( plus type changes like Mr. Mime being Fairy character now ) . After the final gym you make your path to the Pokémon League to tackle the Elite Four and the Champion .
